Why Georgia State?
I chose to attend Georgia State because it is close to home. After touring the University in high school, I fell in love with the diverse campus and location in downtown Atlanta. I also learned that Georgia State has a great nursing program.
What does being a first-generation student mean to you and your family?
Being a first-generation college student is very important to me and my household. I value my education and attending college was a top priority of mine. It has been such a rewarding experience. I have taken advantage of many great resources and opportunities.

What has receiving the William M. Suttles Endowed Scholarship meant to you?
I am very grateful for this generous scholarship. As a college student, I face plenty of stress and obstacles, but I do not let that deter me from achieving my goals. This scholarship has helped me pay for my tuition and books for the semester. Thanks to my scholarship donor, I was able to continue my studies and focus on my academic and career goals.

I am very appreciative of this generous scholarship because it has helped me to further my education. Currently I am a pre-nursing student and my career goal is to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. This scholarship has given me the opportunity to remain at this rewarding university and benefit from its many resources that will help me succeed in my future endeavors. Thank you so much!
