Why Georgia State?
I chose Georgia State because two of my cousins attended before me. One of those cousins lives in Midtown, so even after I moved to Atlanta, I felt that I always had someone nearby. I also chose Georgia State because I love city life and find urban infrastructure fascinating.
What does being a first-generation student mean to you and your family?
It means I am the first to go down this path of attaining a higher education. My father wanted nothing more than for at least one of his children to receive a degree, and I take great pride in knowing that I am fulfilling his wishes.
Please share a few interesting facts about yourself:
- I am a classically trained percussionist.
- I am a vegetarian of seven years.
- Spike Lee is my favorite film director.
- I can speak Mandarin Chinese conversationally.
