Being first-generation means a great deal to my family and me because it opens doors for new opportunities that were never afforded to us before.

- I recently visited Mexico City for 10 days on a Study Abroad trip.
- I am working to get a minor in Spanish.
- I enjoy exercising and working out.

Receiving this scholarship has lessened the burden on my family in my journey to graduate and given me the opportunity to continue trying to be my best.
