The Institute for Biomedical Sciences is on a mission to advance human health. Our researchers have been making exciting discoveries for over five years, and they’re tackling some of the biggest health issues, from flu, Ebola, HIV, inflammatory bowel disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer and pneumonia. These talented scientists are focused on developing innovative approaches to prevent, diagnose and treat human illnesses that would lead to better patient care and new clinical applications.
The institute is also focused on giving students an exceptional education. Our world-class research centers provide a stellar training ground for students interested in biomedical research, giving them access to state-of-the-art facilities and instruction from leading researchers in the field.
We’ve developed a new approach to education that gives our students a competitive edge in the modern workplace. Our pioneering academic programs pair a scientific foundation with business and entrepreneurship curriculum, teaching students the scientific, legal and commercial aspects of scientific discovery.
We have tailored our interdisciplinary bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs to the biomedical industry’s needs so that our students can compete for high-demand jobs and become leaders in this growing industry. The curriculum prepares graduates to work in biotechnology, pharmaceutics, consulting, education, outreach, government and other fields.
In addition to training students to succeed in the 21st century biomedical workforce, we’re preparing students for advanced degrees in science, business and law.
Join us in our efforts to improve the health of people across the globe and mold the next generation of biomedical scientists and professionals. When you donate to the Institute for Biomedical Sciences, your dollars will fund scholarships, lab and classroom instruction, and cutting-edge research.
